Al Zahra College is a Candidate PYP (Primary Years Programme) school and a Candidate MYP (Middle Years Programme) school. While AZC adopts both IB (International Baccalaureate) programs, the College still addresses the standards and requirements set by the NSW Board of Studies in all Key Learning Areas. Additionally, Arabic language, Islamic and Quranic studies are offered to students.
Al Zahra College provides a learning environment in which each student is able to develop an understanding and respect for his or her own cultural background and take pride in whom he or she is. Consequently, the ability for students to respect other cultures is strengthened. Read more in our story.

Our Preschool, Al Zahra Kingdom, opened in 2009 and caters for boys and girls aged 3-5 years. Our professional staff provides an exciting, friendly and caring learning environment for students, as well as a successful school readiness program.

Our Primary School caters for boys and girls from Kindergarten to Year 6. As a Candidate PYP School, the focus is on the development of the whole child as an inquirer, both in the classroom and in the world outside. The Primary School is full of action with the AZC Parliament, interschool sport, expeditions and a host of special events, including fundraising for charity. We are very proud of what we achieve in the Primary School.

A new era commenced in 2010 when Year 7 secondary girls began lessons on 1 February, 2010. This inaugural Year 7 girls’ class fulfilled a long-awaited dream - secondary classes at Al Zahra College. Establishing Year 7 Girls at AZC in 2010 was probably overdue in some ways. However, it has been always been the philosophy of the Chairman to consolidate a successful Primary School before embarking on a secondary school.
