Inquiry Centre – Library

Our Inquiry Centre / library is the College’s resource centre and knowledge hub.
It is supported by an experienced and highly qualified teacher librarian and library
professional, Mr. Anagnostou (College Head of Library) and Mrs Wendy Wu (Library
Support).

Learning by inquiry and discovery is an integral part of the IB (PYP, MYP & DP)
philosophy, which Al Zahra College education is offering. Our Inquiry Centre
provides the guidance, ATLs and skills required to prepare our lifelong learners for
academic and future success.

The library, which opened in January 2010, supports this by providing capable staff,
homework help, exam and assessment support, extended opening times, weekly
library classes for PYP, DP study and support groups supervised by Mr.
Anagnostou, technology and physical and virtual resources in Arabic and English.
Our PYP Library lessons for K – 2 also incorporate visits to our local public library in
Arncliffe, which allows our students to be part of our local community.
